Booking for makeup artistsfrom trial to wedding day
A makeup artist’s calendar has two very different kinds of booking: studio appointments — lessons, event makeup, trials — and wedding days booked months ahead, on location, often for several people. Luvira handles the first kind end to end and helps with the second, and this page says exactly where the line runs.
Estheticians treat skin; makeup artists apply looks, often away from their studio, for events with a fixed date. No specialty page covers that rhythm — booking trials and lessons in the studio, and wedding days months in advance on location. Esthetician Software for Booking & Intake
One date, many faces. Months of messages.
Event makeup is booked early, changed often and done on a deadline.
Inquiries during a job
“Is the 14th still free?”
You are at a wedding all day, while the next bride is waiting for an answer about her date.
Trial and wedding apart
“Which look did we agree on?”
The trial happens months before the wedding. Without notes and photos, the agreed look lives only in a chat.
The good news?
Studio bookings online, event details on file — from trial to big day.
Early starts
“Ready by 9 for photos?”
Wedding mornings start early and end on a deadline. A wrong time in the calendar is a serious problem.
Skin surprises
“Any allergies to lashes or glue?”
Sensitivities that come up on the morning of the event are the worst possible timing.

Booking websiteWhere Luvira fits for wedding work
Trials, lessons and studio event makeup work like any other appointment: the client picks a service and an open time, gets a confirmation and a reminder. Make the booking note required, and brides tell you the wedding date, venue and party size when they book their trial.
Wedding days themselves are usually agreed in a conversation, because the timing depends on the ceremony and the number of people. Once confirmed, you add them to your calendar so nothing else is booked over them. Luvira does not take deposits or retainers in the US version yet and has no contracts, so those stay with the tools you use today.
Notes that last until the big day
The months between trial and wedding are where details get lost. Write the foundation shade, the lash style, the lip color and the timing into the client record after the trial, and add photos from different angles. On the morning of the wedding, everything is in one place.
What Luvira doesn’t do for makeup artists
- No group booking — each person in a bridal party is entered or booked separately.
- No travel time, mileage or on-location address check.
- No deposits, retainers or contracts in the US version yet.
