Hair salon cancellation policywith color services in mind

A cut can be rebooked from the waiting list; a four-hour color correction cannot. This generator writes a salon policy with one rule for everyday services and a stricter one for color and chemical work.

Your policy

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We reserve time and prepare for every appointment. To keep our schedule fair for every client, please read this policy before you book.

Cancelling or rescheduling You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made later than that are charged 50% of the booked service price.

No-shows If you miss your appointment without letting us know, we charge the full price of the booked service. After two missed appointments, we may no longer accept online bookings from you.

Running late We hold your appointment for 15 minutes. If you arrive later, we may need to shorten your service or treat it as a missed appointment.

Good to know Color and chemical services: For color, lightening and smoothing services we ask for 48 hours’ notice, because these appointments block a large part of a stylist’s day. Skin test before first color: First-time color clients may need a skin test at least 48 hours before the appointment. If the test is not done, we will move the color to a later date.

Exceptions Emergencies happen. If something serious comes up, contact us as soon as you can — we may waive the fee. If we close because of severe weather, there is no fee.

How fees are paid Any fee is added to your next appointment and needs to be paid before we can book you again.

By booking an appointment with us, you agree to this policy.

One policy, two speeds

Hair salons book very different appointments side by side: a quick trim, a blowout, a full head of highlights. Applying one notice window to all of them is either too strict for the trim or too loose for the color. Most salons fix this with a general rule plus a longer window for color and chemical services.

Processing time is the hidden cost. While color develops, a stylist usually works another client in parallel. When the color client does not show up, both slots are gone.

Who owns the policy

In a commission salon, the salon sets the policy and keeps any fee. Booth renters and suite stylists run their own business and set their own. If your salon mixes both, say whose rule applies on the booking page so clients are not confused.

Template, not legal advice. Consumer and fee rules differ by state; review the policy before you enforce it.

About cancellation policies for hair salons

Many salons ask for 48 hours on color and chemical services and 24 hours on cuts, because a long color slot is much harder to rebook at short notice.

Yes. Put your own business name in the generator; the policy then speaks for you, not for the salon you rent from.

Not at the moment. Luvira does not process payments or deposits in the US version. It sends booking confirmations and reminder emails with your free-cancellation window.

On your booking website, before they choose a time, and in your welcome message to new clients.
