Nail salon cancellation policyfor a busy appointment book
Nail appointments are shorter and more frequent than most beauty services, so one missed slot hurts less — but a no-show group booking or an unannounced soak-off can wreck an afternoon. This generator covers both.
Nail salons: your policy
Starting values: 24 hours’ notice, a fixed late-cancellation amount and a partial no-show fee. Many nail techs keep fees modest — change them to suit your prices.
Your policy
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We reserve time and prepare for every appointment. To keep our schedule fair for every client, please read this policy before you book.
Cancelling or rescheduling You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made later than that are charged a $20 fee.
No-shows If you miss your appointment without letting us know, we charge 50% of the booked service price. After two missed appointments, we may no longer accept online bookings from you.
Running late We hold your appointment for 10 minutes. If you arrive later, we may need to shorten your service or treat it as a missed appointment.
Good to know Group bookings: For group bookings of three or more people, please give us 72 hours’ notice of any change, because we reserve several technicians at once. Removal of other salons’ work: If you are coming with gel, acrylic or dip from another salon, please tell us when booking. Removal takes extra time and is charged as its own service.
Exceptions Emergencies happen. If something serious comes up, contact us as soon as you can — we may waive the fee. If we close because of severe weather, there is no fee.
How fees are paid Any fee is added to your next appointment and needs to be paid before we can book you again.
By booking an appointment with us, you agree to this policy.
Small fees, clear rules
Nail clients rebook every two to four weeks, so the relationship matters more than any single fee. Many nail techs keep the late-cancellation amount small and save the stronger rule for no-shows. What matters most is that the rule is written down and applied the same way for everyone.
The two things that blow up a nail schedule
Groups first: a bridal party or birthday booking reserves several technicians at once, and a same-day cancellation empties a whole row of chairs. A longer notice window for groups is common and easy to explain.
Second, surprise removals. A client who arrives with another salon’s acrylics needs time nobody planned for. Asking for it at booking — and pricing removal as its own service — keeps the next client from waiting.
Template, not legal advice. Consumer and fee rules differ by state; review the policy before you enforce it.

About cancellation policies for nail salons
Many do, usually less than the full service price, because regular clients come back often. A written rule matters more than the amount: it makes the fee a policy, not a personal argument.
Give groups their own, longer notice window and say it at booking. Some salons also confirm group bookings a few days ahead by phone.
No — Luvira does not process payments or deposits in the US version yet. It takes the booking online and sends confirmation and reminder emails that state your free-cancellation window.
Put it on your booking website in Luvira’s website builder, where clients see it before they choose a time.
