Set yourbooking rules

Booking rules decide what clients can book on their own: how soon, how far ahead, with how much room between appointments, and whether you confirm each request first.

Where to find itServicesBooking rules

Online booking

  • “Online booking enabled” — the master switch. Off means the booking section on your website takes no bookings.
  • “Confirmation required” — each booking arrives as a request with the status “scheduled”; the client gets “Appointment request received” and a final email once you confirm.
  • “Allow double booking” — lets a person be booked twice at the same time. Leave it off unless you really work on two clients at once.
  • “Phone number required” and “Note required” — make those fields mandatory on the booking form. A required note is handy for mobile work, where you need the address.
  • “Health details are involved here” — adds an explicit consent checkbox for health information to the booking form. Treatment names that clearly reveal health details switch it on by themselves.

Timing rules

  • “Lead time (minutes)” — how far ahead of now the first bookable time lies. 120 means nobody can book a slot starting in the next two hours.
  • “Max. advance booking (days)” — how far into the future clients can book.
  • “Cancellation deadline (hours)” — the free cancellation window. It is printed in the reminder email, and until then clients can cancel online with the “Cancel or reschedule” button in their emails; after it they have to contact you.

Buffers and grid

“Buffer before (minutes)” and “Buffer after (minutes)” keep free time around every appointment, for cleanup or a short break. “Time grid” sets the steps in which start times are offered, for example every 15 or 30 minutes.

Changes take effect as soon as you save; the page confirms with “Booking rules saved.”

The other two cards on this page

Known limitationThe “Deposit” and “Payment account” sections are visible but don’t work for US salons yet: no payment account can be connected, so clients are never asked to pay and no deposit is taken.

The “Appointment reminder” card on the same page is explained in its own article.

Turn off “Online booking enabled” and save. Your service menu, team and existing appointments stay as they are; switch it on again when you are back.

No. Luvira does not take card details or deposits in the US version yet. Write your policy on your website and collect fees the way you do today.

No. They limit what clients can book online. In the calendar you can still place an appointment anywhere, and Luvira warns you only when a person is already booked at that time.
